Under our sustainability pledge, Thryft donates 10% of all profits to a non-profit organisation each quarter. With your contributions, we managed to support several vulnerable communities through local COVID-19 relief funds earlier this year.
For the last two quarters of 2020, we are happy to announce that we will be partnering with the World Wide Fund for Nature Singapore (WWF-Singapore) to support its For Nature For Us community and recovery programme!
Beyond the pandemic’s socioeconomic impacts, the zoonotic origin of COVID-19 highlights the consequence of mankind's increasingly intrusive contact with wildlife. For Nature For Us aims to tackle a root cause of pandemics by eliminating high-risk wildlife trade, providing support for recovery, research, and action. In addition, WWF also strives to create sustainable food systems and livelihoods for Southeast Asian communities and lay out building blocks through environmental education and outreach to raise awareness on these important topics.
From July to December, support WWF-Singapore's efforts in protecting nature and future-proofing vulnerable communities with every purchase from Thryft. We'll also be sharing insights into these pressing environmental issues and what we can do to restore the balance in our relationship with nature, so stay tuned!
